Training is designed to prepare the student for employment as a communication technician. The student is advised to complete the Electricity Fundamentals 2 certificate prior.


Upon completion of the program, students will:
  1. 1. Design and implement various communication strategies that use radios to allow industrial controllers to communicate and share data.
  2. 2. Design and implement a network topology for a solution to a proposed communication problem.
  3. 3. Construct and apply an IP addressing scheme for a simple network problem.

        This course will cover the underlying concepts of analog communications. Some of these concepts will be the types of modulation used to convey a signal as well as the frequency spectrum, noise, signal strength and attenuation.
